Item: Excavated Confederate .36 Caliber Colt Navy Pistol Bullet
Condition: Excellent. This pistol bullet has a bright light-grey patina and is a near perfect example with a small period dent on one side.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: .385 x .605 inches.
Comments: These bullets are rarely recovered and according to "Round Ball to Rimfire, Part Four" by Dean S. Thomas, page 172, specimen 14, the remarks state "Richmond Laboratory, 3rd pattern ball." This example will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
