Artillery Iron Shot in 4.5 Inch Cannonball Shell Shrapnel

These 8 excavated iron shot measure approximately 3/4 inch in diameter and were for use in "case-shot" type artillery projectiles. The shrapnel section, from a 4.5 inch shell, measures approximately 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches and was recoverd from Malvern Hill, VA.  The 8 iron shot were all recovered from Wilderness, Va. many years ago by local relic hunter Henry Foster. This artillery relic will display nicely in any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.
