Artillery Crossed Cannons Hat Insignia

Item: Artillery crossed cannons hat insignia.
Construction: Stamped brass.
Condition: Very good, excavated. This solid insignia has a very pleasing brown-green patina with two very small breaks in the area of the V's formed where the cannons cross. These breaks are nearly unnoticeable and they in no way affect the integrity and strength of the device. The rear has two of the four attachment loops remaining.
Comments: This insignia will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia, artillery, or general relic collection.
Recovered: Redbud Woods, third Battle of Winchester, VA
Approximate size: 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches.
