Artillery "Crossed Cannons" Hat Insignia - Hatcher's Run Area

Item: Artillery "Crossed Cannons" Hat Insignia
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with soldered on wire loops.
Condition: Very good, excavated, one wire attachment loop still remains. The device has a very pleasing mossy green patina. There is a minor bend in the lower right cannon barrel near where it intersects with the other barrel. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. 
Approximate size: 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 inch.
Recovered: Hatcher's Run, area Dinwiddie, County, VA.

Comments:  These devices are rarely found in this condition anymore and this fine example will be an excellent addition to any Civil War insignia, artillery, uniform, or general relic collection.
