Artillery Shell Shrapnel & Canister Shot - Antietam

This artillery shrapnel and shot are from a US 12 pounder case-shot. The two shot are still affixed to the interior wall of the section of shrapnel. On the outer surface of the shrapnel in white are the letters "ANT." indicating its recovery location of Antietam, MD. Its approximate weight is 12 1/2 ounces and approximate length and width is 2.5 x 2.7 inches. This shrapnel and shot will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.
