Iron, double cavity

Condition: 
Very good, non-excavated. Dark brown patina. Minor surface pitting. One arm has an interesting outward bend. Opens and closes easily. Sprue cutter and screw both present but screw appears to be a replacement. Faintly stamped into the device is: "COLT'S PATENT" with only a few letters visible.

Comments: This Colt Firearms Company double cavity bullet mold makes one round ball and one conical bullet, both in .44 caliber. It will be an excellent addition to any Civil War firearm, campsite or general relic collection.
