This handsome wood plaque consists of three bullets and one round ball firmly mounted on its front with an old label affixed to the rear indicating the bullet type. Included from left to right is a .58 caliber Confederate Gardner, a .58 caliber three-ring bullet, a .69 caliber round ball, and a .44 caliber Sage bullet for pistol. The label on the rear also includes in writing the battle location of "Antietam" by one item, and the letter "G" next to the other three of items, presumably representing Gettysburg, likely indicating where each bullet was recovered. The plaque measures approximately 5 x 6-1/2 inches. It will be an excellent addition for anyone with an interest in Civil War history or to simply display in an office, den, or family room.
