Item: Burnside Carbine Cartridge - Excavated High Quality
Caliber: .54
Construction: Conical lead bullet with brass cartridge.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, solid. The bullet has a tan-brown patina and with no dings. The cartridge has a dusty brown-green patina and one very small dent on the underside of the rim. The ignition flame hole in its base is visible. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. It is not a "put-together". 
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: 2.36 inch length; 434 grains weight.

Comments: Today, diggers are not likely to recover cartridges in this condition. If you want a high quality excavated example then this cartridge will be an excellent addition to any Civil War cartridge, bullet, or general relic collection.
