Religious Pendant

This religious pendant was recovered from a campsite in Caroline County, VA and measures approximately 24 x 30 mm. It has a very nice green patina with no cracks, bends, or repairs. The top attachment loop is no longer present and may be why it was lost. Other similar examples of excavated religious pendants can be in Howard Crouch's book "Civil War Artifacts" on page 133, as items 6 & 7. This very personal pendant will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite or general relic collection.
