This iron canister shot measures approximately 2 inches in diameter and weighs 1.2 pounds, and would have been likely used in a 12 pounder stand of grape. The iron ball has very minimal pitting and is in excellent condition. Its mold seam and sprue are clearly visible. This canister shot will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.
