Condition: Gently used, but in excellent, clean, solid shape. Tight binding. Clean dustjacket, cover and pages with no marks or repairs. Book could pass for new.
Comments: This early Civil War projectile reference book, authored by two pioneers of the hobby, is out of print and is a must have for the Civil War bullet collector. To read more about the authors, click on their names in the above link. The book includes tons of black and white images of the various bullets used by both Confederate and Union forces. Also included are sections with images of artillery projectiles, fuses, cartridges, bullet molds, hand grenades, rockets, primers and more. For a complete index of the contents of this book see the additional images in this listing. Many images include examples of relics with Mac Mason's handwriting and artful calligraphy. Finally, an appendix includes additional detailed information related to projectiles such as range, velocity, etc.... I personally consider this book a work of art and it will be an excellent tool for collectors to use for Civil War bullet and general projectile identification.
