Condition: Used, but in very good solid shape. Previous owner's name and date of "12/14/71" is printed in the corner of the front free endpaper. There is an inscription and M.E. Mason, Jr.'s signature on the title page.
Comments: This rare out of print 1st edition copy of "Civil War Projectiles Small Arms & Field Artillery", authored by two pioneers of the hobby, is not only a numbered copy, "Copy-#62 of 500 Registered Copies", it is signed by M.E. "Mac" Mason who co-authored this early reference book. The book includes tons of black and white images of the various bullets used by both Confederate and Union forces. Also included are sections with images of artillery projectiles, fuses, cartridges, bullet molds, hand grenades, rockets, primers and more. For a complete index of the contents of this book see the additional images in this listing. Many images include examples of relics with Mac Mason's handwriting and artful caligraphy.
