Condition: Used gently, but in very good solid shape. Tight binding with un-marked pages. Very slight edge wear at corners and top and bottom of spine. 1 x 1 inch price tag residue on inside front panel.
Comments: This early 1st edition Civil War projectile reference book, authored by two pioneers of the hobby, is out of print and is a must have for the Civil War bullet collector. To read more about the authors, click on their names in the above link. The book includes tons of black and white images of the various bullets used by both Confederate and Union forces. Also included are sections with images of artillery projectiles, fuses, cartridges, bullet molds, hand grenades, rockets, primers and more. For a complete index of the contents of this book see the additional images in this listing. Many images include examples of relics with Mac Mason's handwriting and artful calligraphy. Finally, an appendix includes additional detailed information related to projectiles such as range, velocity, etc... This copy will not only serve as an excellent reference book but also a beautiful collector's item. I personally consider this book a work of art.
