Item: Confederate .69 Caliber Austrian Bullet - Huge
Condition: Very good, excavated, tan-white patina. Casting flaw at base with slightly out-of-round skirt. Uneven thickness of base rim. These issues do not affect the bullet's ability to stand up on its base. A very nice example with no repairs.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: .664 inch. diameter, 1.18 inch. length, 763 grains weight.
Reference: Similar examples can be found in the following Civil War bullet reference books:

Comments: This bullet is one of the largest bullets used in the American Civil War and is a fine example that clearly demonstrates the crudeness typically observed in manufactured Confederate relics. It is also rare bullet to recover, and it will be an excellent example to add to any Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
