Comments: French pattern bullets of this caliber are generally difficult to recover and when they are, they are typically found with triangular shaped cavities. The bullet offered here is a rare example with an elliptical aka. "Lovell" cavity. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
