Backmark: "S. ISAACS CAMPBELL & Co / LONDON / 71 JERMYN . ST"
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. The button has an even brown patina with no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs. For some inexplicable reason, there is a spot of what appears to be a very small amount of clear coat on the rear at the rim. I cannot determine any reason for its existence other than it accidentally got there. It cannot be seen in the front view.
Comments: This very nice script "A" will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
Recovered: Unknown
Reference: Tice: CSA215A1 Albert CS 107.
