Item: Confederate Cavalry Coat Button - Lined C

Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Design: Lined Roman letter "C" on a plain field.
Approximate size: 23 mm.
Condition: Fair, excavated, secure shank present. Dusty brown patina. Button back is pushed into rear with break but is secure. The button is solid with no cracks or repairs.
Recovered: Amelia County, VA

Comments: This Confederate cavalry coat button was acquired directly from the family of the local Virginia digger, and it will be an excellent example addition to any Civil War button or general relic collection.
