Item: Excavated Confederate .50 caliber breechloading carbine bullet.
Condition: Excellent with a white patina and visible mold seam.
Comments: This bullet is very similar in appearance to what diggers and collectors refer to as a Macon Arsenal bullet or M&M 305, however, new information regarding this bullet can be found in Dean Thomas' reference book, "Round Ball to Rimfire", Part Four, on page 196.
