This Confederate one hundred dollar note is in excellent condition. Printed by "Keatinge & Ball. Columbia. S.C", as shown on the front at the bottom center, it is dated "Feb. 17th 1862" and is machined numbered in black. The note has a portrait of Lucy Holcombe Pickens in the center with an image of Confederate Secretary of War George W. Randolph to the right. To the left is an image of two Confederate soldiers. The rear, shows a large "HUNDRED" with four circular medallions with the numeral "100" at the corners on blue ink. The note has an old tape repair and the paper somewhat brittle with edge wear. It will be an excellent addition to any Civil War currency or general relic collection and will come in a clear acid free envelope for preservation and display. Ref. Criswell T-65.
