Item: Confederate Infantry Button - Script "I"
Backmark: "S. ISAACS CAMPBELL & Co / LONDON / 71 JERMYN. ST" dm
Design: Lined old English "I" on a plain field.
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Very Good, excavated, secure shank present. Very pleasing even chocolate brown patina. There is overall wear and only a few faint letters of the backmark are barely visible. No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown

Comments: This button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
