Item: Confederate Ten Dollar Note - 1863 - CC

Printer: Keatinge & Ball, Columbia S.C.
Design: The front shows the state the Capitol at Columbia, S.C. with Secretary of State Robert M. T. Hunter to the lower right. The note is hand numbered in red and signed in black ink. The note has the "actual month of issue" added in red. The rear has ten medallions with the Roman numeral "X" in each.
Approximate size: 3 x 7 inches.
Condition: Good. The note is cut-canceled in the form of a cross. Borders are nearly complete. There is creasing with tiny pinholes. The paper is semi-soft and discolored. There is a miscellaneous mark in the center rear.
