Item: Confederate Ten Dollar Note - 1861 - COC
Date: September 2, 1861
Printer: B. Duncan, Richmond, VA.
Design: The front shows a slave picking cotton with a canal scene to the right. The note is hand numbered in red and signed in black ink. The rear is blank with the exception of what may be a name in black ink.
Approximate size: 3 x 7 inches.
Condition: Good. The note is cut-out-canceled in the form of triangles at bottom. The paper is soft with creasing and tiny pin holes.
