Stamped in red is "July 1863" believed to be the actual month of issue. The rear has Roman numeral "XX" in the center with "20" in a medallion to either side. It is hand numbered (believed to be in red ink but badly faded) and signed in black ink.
Approximate size: 3 x 7-3/8 inches.
Condition: Good. The note is cut-canceled in the form of a cross. Borders are nearly complete. The paper is soft, soiled, has creases, edge wear with minor tears and holes.

Comments: This Confederate twenty-dollar note will be an excellent addition to any Civil War note or general relic collection.
