Item: Confederate Twenty Dollar Note - Sailing Vessel - 1861
Date: July 25, 1861.
Printer: Hoyer & Ludwig Richmond, VA.
Design: The front shows a large sailing vessel in the center. The note is hand numbered in red and signed in black ink. Printed on the note is "Receivable in payment of all dues except export dues. / Two years after date / THE CONFEDERATE States of America / Will pay to Bearer TWENTY DOLLARS / Richmond, Va. / July 25,, 1861 / Fundable in Confederate States Stock bearing Eight per Cent interest." The rear is blank.
Approximate size: 3-3/16 x 7-1/8 inches.
Condition: Very good. Borders are incomplete. There are holes, edge damage, and creasing. The thick bond paper is crisp with minor discoloration.

Comments: This Confederate twenty dollar note will be an excellent addition to any Civil War note or general relic collection.
