Item: Confederate Infantry Coat Button

Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 22 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. The front, with its raised letter "I", is absolutely stunning with its even brown patina. There is a very tiny rim fracture at the 8:45 position in the first image. The rear, with its stand-up shank, shows remnants of old clear epoxy as the button was once used for display. This very solid button has no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
