Item: Excavated Confederate Leech & Rigdon tongue for 2-piece belt plate
Construction: Sand cast brass with the raised letters "CS".
Condition: Fair with a deep even brown-green patina. The belt attachment loop is broken with a portion missing.
Comments: A very solid piece of Confederate brass that will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War belt plate or general relic collection.
Recovered: In the area of Alexandria, LA
