This excavated fired bullet landed in such a way so as to form into a hat, in particular, a derby. It has a tan-grey patina and visible rings. It is believed to be a .58 caliber 3-ringer and now measures approximately .48 x 1.08 inches width & length, .642-inch height and weighs 1 ounce or 481 grains. Its recovery location is not known. It will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
