Item: ExcavatedUS eagle plate.
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with solder fill.
Condition: Good. Brass face has a very pleasing green patina. There is a ding to the rim at the 4 o'clock position but no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The rear solder is pebbled, but otherwise solid, and the two iron attachment loops are no longer present.
Comments: This eagle plate will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War plate or general relic collection.

Approximate diameter: 63 mm.
