This regulation enlisted man's 1858 "Jeff Davis" hat pin is in fair condition and was recovered from Petersburg, VA. This device would have been worn on the brim side of a Hardy Hat. It clearly has that "been there, done that" appearance with bends, a crease with crack running from top to bottom on one side, and missing portions at the bottom. Though this insignia is not perfect and, clearly has that war torn appearance, it will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War insignia or general relic collection. 1.60 x 2.54 inches.
