Approximate diameter: 2.87 inches
Approximate length: 8-1/4 inches
Approximate weight: 8.8 pounds
Fuzing: Zinc fuze adaptor for paper time fuze

Condition: Very good, excavated, fired. The shell's surface is minimally pitted and nearly smooth. The shell is in its raw "as dug" state and the iron is in very stable condition. While its fuze adaptor is present, its sabot is missing and likely blown off upon firing. The shell will stand straight up on its base for display purposes. It has been deactivated and there are no repairs.
Recovered: Chickamauga, GA. area.
Comments: This artillery Parrott shell will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.
