Item: Federal 3-Inch Hotchkiss Shell Base with Wood Display Cup and Old Price Card
Cannon: 3-inch ordnance rifle
Construction: Iron
Approximate size: Weight: 3 pounds. Diameter: 2.94 inches. Height: 2-3/4 inches.
Condition: Excavated, fired, exploded. The iron was stabilized with an overall clear coat. The three flame grooves are present along the sides. No repairs.
Recovered: Gettysburg, PA area.
Comments: Please know that the price on the old display card does not apply. This Hotchkiss shell base, including wood display cup with card, will be an excellent addition to any excavated artillery or general relic collection.
