Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 15 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. This very solid button has ample gilt (see comments below). It has no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.

Comments: General service eagle buttons are rarely recovered with any gilt and this one is a pretty example. This button was acquired directly from the digger and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
