Item: Excavated .36 caliber Federal Savage Navy Revolver Bullet.
Condition: Very good, excavated, unfired. This bullet has a grey-white patina and still retains its original shape. 
Recovered:  Unknown.
Approximate size:  .372 x .71 inches.

Comments: An example of this bullet and a .36 caliber Savage "Navy" revolver can be found in "Round Ball to Rimfire, Part Three" by Dean Thomas, on pages 143 & 145, item 917, scans of which are included in the additional images. Savage revolver bullets are not often recovered and this example will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
