This excavated gun wrench and cleaning brush remains are both from a Civil War campsite in Rappahannock County, VA. A similar example of the gun wrench can be found in Howard Crouch's book "Civil War Artifacts" on page 97, item #3 and the cleaning brush on page 98, item 11. Both are in fair condition will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War firearm or general relic collection.
