This large plain horse bridle rosette was recovered in the area of Chancellorsville, VA. The face is plain and at some point in time is believed to have been cleaned by the digger. At the eight o'clock position on the face, at the edge, is a break with a 7/8 inch hairline crack. The rear has a pebbled but stable tin back and is missing its attachment bar. This rosette measures approximately 2.27 inches in diameter and will be excellent addition to any excavated Civil War cavalry or general relic collection.
