Item: Excavated Louisiana state seal belt plate tongue
Construction: Cast brass.
Condition: Excellent, excavated. Green patina with no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs.
Comments: This rare belt plate tongue was acquired directly from the digger. It will be an excellent excellent addition to any excavated Civil War plate or general relic collection.
Recovered: January 20, 2017 in Vance County, NC.
Approximate sizes: Overall length: 55 mm. Keeper height: 46 mm. & width: 11 mm. Disc diameter (top to bottom): 29 mm. & (side to side): 31 mm.
