Item: M-1842 Musket Butt Plate
Use: Protective metal plate on the end of a gun stock.
Approximate size: 4.46 inches overall length.
Condition: Very good, excavated. Iron is rusty but solid. No breaks, bends or repairs.
Recovered: Fisher's Hill, VA
