Item: Maynard Carbine Cartridge
Caliber: .50
Construction: Brass case, lead bullet.
Condition: Good, non-excavated. The flat nose bullet is in good shape and has a brown-white patina. The cartridge has a dark brown patina. There is one small dent on one side and a slight separation between the rim and the case, however the rim is still solidly attached. The cartridge has no cracks or repairs.
Comments: This cartridge is not a "put-together" and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War cartridge, bullet, or general relic collection.
Approximate size: 1.73 inch overall length. .52 inch bullet diameter.
