Item: New York State Seal Coat Button - with Display Case

Construction: Convex, three-piece.
Approximate size: 22.5 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present.  The face has an ample amount of gilt over a brown patina. There are no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Weldon Railroad, Petersburg, VA 
Reference: Tice: NY220  Albert: NY 30
Comments: This high quality New York coat button, with label and display case included, will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
