Item: OVM - Ohio Volunteer Militia Belt Buckle - Repaired
Construction: Stamped thin sheet brass with raised letters "OVM".  Rear with solder fill and stud type attachment hooks with a thick single tapered hook at that opposite end.
Condition: Good excavated. Both front and rear show evidence of repairs having been made at some point. The buckle is solid, and its brass front has pleasing dusty green patina. The rim is complete, and the rear has all three belt attachment hooks. 
Recovered: Shiloh, TN.
Approximate size: 53 x 83 mm.
