Item: Pattern-1853 .577 Caliber Enfield Rifle/Musket Socket Bayonet
Construction: Steel
Condition: Excellent, possible battlefield pick-up, barn, or attic find. Very minor rusting. The locking ring with screw are present and could possibly be loosened, but not recommended. There are no bends or repairs.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: 20 5/8 inches overall length, 3 inch socket.
Comments: This solid Enfield bayonet, used by both the Federals and Confederates, will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bayonet, weapon or general relic collection.
