This excavated camp barrel tap, with its scored tapered end would have fit into a matching hole at the bottom of the barrel filled with some type of liquid. Its surface has a green-brown patina that has been lightly clear coated. It measures approximately 4-1/16 inches in length and 1-7/8 inches in height. The stem measures approximately 11/16 inch at its largest portion. The stem is dented with a small break on one side and its knob is missing. Its recovery location is unknown.
