Pre-Civil War US Artillery Button 1821-1830s

Construction: Low convex, one-piece.
Approximate size: 19 mm.
Condition: Fair, excavated, shank missing. The letter "A" in the shield is nearly impossible to see. The button was likely cleaned at some point and has no bends, cracks, or repairs.
Comments: This early artillery button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
