This delicate little religious pendant is from the collection of the late Dennis Irvin, of Fauquier County, VA who recovered it in the Brandy Station, VA area. It measures approximately 1/2 x 3/4 inches and weighs 0.011 grams. The material used to construct this thin pendant is unknown. Examples can be found pictured in:

• "Civil War Artifacts" by Howard Crouch, page 51, items 6 & 7.

This pendant, perhaps carried by a soldier, will be an excellent addition to any personal or general relic collection.
