This excavated brass side knife scabbard tip is in very good condition and was recovered in the Williamsburg, VA area. Constructed of sheet brass which has a very pleasing brown-green patina. On one side, a seam runs the length of the device with a rivet at the top. It measures approximately 1 inch in width at its opening and 2 inches in length. It has no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

This scabbard tip was acquired directly from the digger’s family and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War weapon, battlefield, campsite, or general relic collection.
