Item: Federal Six Pounder Solid Shot
Construction: Cast iron.
Approximate size: Weight: 6 pounds. Diameter: 3.54 inches.
Condition: Excellent, excavated. Cleaned and very lightly clear coated. The surface is smooth and minimally pitted. No repairs.

Comments: A similar example can be found in the 1993 edition of "Field Artillery Projectiles of the American Civil War", by Thomas S. Dickey and Peter C. George on page 28. This six pounder solid shot will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War artillery or general relic collection.
