This post-Civil War small metal fireman's hat was, according to the digger, recovered with other excavated Civil War relics while out relic hunting. Measuring approximately 1 1/2 inch wide x 2 1/4 inches long. On the top portion of the rear brim it is with the fighting tools of an axe, horn, hook, and, ladder. The hook is partially visible and the ladder is not visible with the build up of ground action. My minimal research of this item indicates that it dates to the 1900's and may have been likely part of a badge, pin, or ribbon. I also thought that it could have been part of a child's toy.
