Snake Buckle - Silver Wash

Item: Excavated snake buckle.
Construction: Cast brass with silver wash.
Condition: Excellent, excavated. There is ample silver wash with no cracks, breaks, bends, or repairs. Its two keepers were, unfortunately, not recovered.
Comments: This beautiful buckle will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War buckle or general relic collection.
Recovered: Baltimore County, Md.
Approximate size: 21 x 38.5 mm.
