Item: Snake Pin
Construction: Possibly pewter.
Condition: Excavated, very good. This decorative snake device, in the shape of a figure 8, has a chocolate brown patina. Whatever attachement device it once had is no longer present.
Comments: This relic, while recovered with other Civil War period relics, may or may not be of the Civil War period but is still an interesting item.
Recovered: Culpeper, VA
Approximate size: 11/16 x 1 3/4 inch.
