Item: Excavated Texas Cuff Button
Backmark: "HYDE & GOODRICH / N-O" dm
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 14 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, shank missing. This front of this handsome button is loaded with gilt. The backmark is visible. There are no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Recovered: Manassas, VA.
Reference: Tice: TX234As1 Albert: TX 17
Comments:  This Texas cuff button was acquired directly from the digger who dug this button and several others in the late 1970's. Read the story of these finds.  The button will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
